About Sara Choi
Sara Choi is a Partner at Wing VC, a $450 million early-stage venture fund that has backed 22 companies that have IPO’d or sold for over $1 billion. Sara leads Wing’s investments in “digital life sciences,” companies that operate at the intersection of biology and data. Examples of investments in this area include the public proteomics company, Seer Bio, cell engineering company, Asimov, digital triage company, GYANT, and stealth investments in CAR-T, metabolomics, and novel ultrasound. Sara believes the greatest innovations of our time will come from the interface of technology and biology, and that we are on the cusp of a data-powered digital life sciences revolution. Her greatest passion is in helping founders succeed and go on to change the world.
Prior to joining Wing, Sara was a founder herself, and has grown two companies to double digits millions in revenue. The most recent, Airfox, was a mobile data platform which Sara co-founded and sold to a public retailer, Via Varejo. Prior to Airfox, Sara was Head of Product and co-founder of a radically inexpensive mobile wireless carrier, Ciao Telecom. Sara began her career at Google where she oversaw YouTube’s Media Team and the Google Partners Marketing Team.
As an alumni of Harvard College and Harvard Business School, Sara remains active in the Harvard entrepreneurial community having co-founded the Harvard Founder Network, a community for exceptional Harvard-affiliate founders which meets regularly for community and knowledge-sharing.
