Vishal Punwani is CEO of Sophya, a startup spun out of Harvard that is using data science and cutting-edge artificial intelligence to automate student and employee learning in the trillion-dollar Future of Work sector. Vishal is an international leader in tech for learning. He became one of the highest-rated Teaching Fellows at Khan Academy after creating health and medicine content that has garnered over 10 million views, and has been an invited speaker at The Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Education at Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Harvard Medical School. Harvard Business School has referred to Vishal as 'the heart and soul' of their prestigious new Launch Lab X program. Vishal serves as an education, tech, and general mentor at Harvard’s Innovation Labs.
As a medical doctor, Vishal is a strong advocate of global health and education equity. He began training in emergency medicine after medical school, and has worked and consulted at the World Health Organization and International Telecommunications Union on digital health initiatives.
