About Alan Alper

Alan is a content authority with over 40 years of professional experience. He is affiliated with Buday Thought Leadership Partners, a boutique consulting firm serving the B2B and professional services space. Alan began his career as a journalist covering sports, politics, and technology, before becoming an industry analyst and later a thought leadership architect for one of the world’s largest IT and consulting firms.

For 15 years, Alan led global thought leadership at Cognizant Technology Solutions, where he developed a wide range of content—research reports, white papers, blogs, infographics, videos, and transmedia storytelling—across industries and regions. He also directed the publication of three award-winning books: Code Halos, What To Do When Machines Do Everything, and Monster, and oversaw Cognizant’s thought leadership presence at major events like the World Economic Forum in Davos.

Earlier in his career, Alan was a reporter and editor for top tech publications including Computerworld, Electronic News, and Managing Automation. He also served as Editorial Director at Gomez Advisors, an early e-commerce research and advisory firm.
