About our featured guests & VC’s
Claudia Ng is a data scientist passionate about AI, automation, and travel. She has lived on four different continents and speaks nine languages. She holds a Master in Public Policy from Harvard University and a Bachelor in International Business from Northeastern University.
Yehong Zhu is the founder and CEO of Zette. Previously she was a journalist at Forbes, a product manager at Twitter, and an alumnus of Harvard College.
Nyla Brewster is a junior at Harvard, studying Social Studies and Computer Science. At Physis, she is working alongside one of the top impact investors in Europe to bring enhanced sustainable investment reporting to the United States & Europe. Outside of Physis, she has worked in a number of fields, including venture capital and management consulting.
Stephen Sun is fascinated with buildings. He has studied them from the perspective of a builder, urban designer, real estate developer, urban planner, underwriting analyst, and architect over the last decade. This lateral experience exposed inherent flaws and inefficiencies of how the industry currently designs buildings. The solution is naturally to found a tech startup in hopes of introducing a new paradigm of design.
Jessica Li is the 2nd growth marketing hire at Series C, General Catalyst backed Zageno, the B2B procurement marketplace for the life sciences. She also heads content for Elpha (Y Combinator S19, community of 35K+ women in tech), Harvard in Tech, and Techstars Boston. She has previously worked in venture capital at Soma Capital (employee #1), General Catalyst, Romulus Capital, Global Founders Capital, and Female Founders Fund; in growth and operations at Morning Brew (acquired by Business Insider) and Luxe (Google Ventures backed and acquired by Volvo); in investment banking at Morgan Stanley; and in public markets at Northwestern Mutual and a family office. She graduated from Harvard with high honors in applied math, computer science, and economics, where her thesis research was completed with the 2016 Nobel Laureate in economics, Oliver Hart. She has worked with startups in MassChallenge, Techstars, Alchemist, Envision, Zane, and other programs.
John Werner serves as Managing Director and Partner at Link Ventures, and as Chief Network Officer, SVP Corporate Development of Cogo Labs. He focuses on direct to consumer companies that can leverage their data expertise for customer acquisition. Link Ventures is a VC firm established in 2006 that invests in disruptive consumer internet technology companies that leverage big data to help them differentiate, scale, and become profitable. Link provides high-value data for low-cost customer acquisition to exceed revenue projections. Some of our more noteworthy investments include EverQuote (June 2018 IPO), Jobcase, Trust&Will, Motorefi, OwnUp. Before joining Link Ventures and Cogo Labs, John's deep curiosity and penchant for problem-solving led him to a diverse set of roles spanning many fields and interests. Previously, John was a VP at Meta, a Y-Combinator augmented reality startup based in Silicon Valley. John also served as the Head of Innovation and New Ventures at the MIT's Camera Culture Group, and the Managing Director of Emerging Worlds SIG, where he led the launch of collaborative innovation centers in Mumbai, Nashik, and Hyderabad.
