Networking Events

Networking Salons: HarvardAE Salons are members-only weekly meetings open to qualified attendees. These live networking sessions bring together our community in a compact 25 minute format focused on a specific topic. You’ll introduce yourself, meet new people with shared interests, reconnect with old friends, and learn something new. Each salon has a group on HAE Connect to continue the conversation and networking.

Meet and Greet: Our “Meet & Greet” online and in-person events are designed to bring the local Harvard communities together where you’ll meet some new people, bump into old friends, hear from our chapter leaders about upcoming events, learn about ways to get involved, and have fun!

HAE Connect: The Online Network for Harvard Entrepreneurs

Connect is HarvardAE’s exclusive peer-to-peer online community exclusively for entrepreneurs, a secure, password-protected location to connect with fellow alumni to connect, find a mentor, get advice, discuss ideas and more. Connect is open to alumni from all Harvard schools as well as current faculty and staff.

Connect members can access exclusive events, webinars, and a directory of alumni entrepreneurs. You can use the directory to search for business partners, mentors, executives, co-founders, investors, and contributors.

HAE Connect is exclusively for HAE members. The annual membership fee is $50

The HAE Connect online community provides you with a secure, password-protected location to connect with fellow alumni. This networking platform is exclusively for HarvardAE paid members. Already a member of HarvardAE, register today and start taking advantage of all that HAE Connect has to offer.

Alumni Directory: Members can access information about other alumni members and search profiles based on school, location, industry, skills, mentorship interest, etc.

My HAE Connect Profile: View and update your personal and professional information in your HAE Connect Profile.

Peer-to-Peer: Give back to the community and forge relationships with other alumni by signing up as a peer resource. Looking to connect? You can search by location, industry, or skills and and send a ‘connect’ request.

Email: Members can send direct messages to other alumni members.You can also connect using Skype, Google Chat, Facebook Messenger. Connect your Harvard-issue email or your personal email account

Hubs: Come together and communicate with fellow alumni on a variety of different topics and interests. The classifieds section is general for posting jobs, personal or business classified notices and more.

Expert and Investor Directory. Members can view the list of experts and venture firms supporting our community.

News & Notes: Share news and events with friends and Connect community members or find out what your fellow alumni are up to these days.

Resource Center: Here is where you’ll find lots of information to help you level up your skills, expand your knowledge, and get your startup to its next milestone.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is eligible to access the HAE Connect?

Members who are Harvard University alumni, those with alumni designation, and current Harvard faculty and staff are eligible to sign up for HAE Connect. Access is not granted to: Students, affiliate members, or Friends of HarvardAE.

How do I register for HAE Connect?

You can register for HAE Connect by clicking this link on the left side navigation on the Connect homepage. A full membership is required to access the platform.

I forgot my password. How can I access my account?

Alumni can reset and change their own password through clicking “forgot password” on the log in page. Information will be sent to the email address designated as "preferred" in the HAE Connect system.

Can I change my HAE Connect email ID?

HAE Connect account NetIDs can only be changed for compelling reasons. If you feel you have a compelling reason to request an email ID change, please email info@harvardae.org

Can I use my HAE account ID and password to access HAE Connect?

For security reasons, HAE Connect is set up as a separate, password protected platform.

MENTOR

Alumni can give back to the community and forge relationships with other alumni by signing up as a mentor. They can set the number of mentees that they would like to mentor at a given time and the business / industry domains that they can provide mentoring in. The platform provides the flexibility of communication and scheduling.

RECEIVE MENTORING

Mentees can search for mentors by location, industry, or skills and request mentoring. If accepted, they can send requests and track their communication with the mentors. There is no separate fee for mentoring service and mentors are expected to provide mentorship at no charge.

ALUMNI DIRECTORY

Members can access information about other alumni and search profiles based on school, location, industry, skills, mentorship interest, etc.

GROUPS

Groups are discussion forums where members can host AMAs (Ask Me Anything), reach out to other members by industry, city, or country. The classifieds section is general for posting any personal or business classified notices.

HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR HAE CONNECT

1. Become a member here.

2. Go to the HAE Connect page to apply. Please use the same email that you use to sign up for HAE membership.

3. Once your alumni and HarvardAE membership status is verified, you will be emailed a confirmation email.
